Data Deletion

This page describes how you may request deletion of your personal data from the EstepSports platform, operated by Estep Tech, LLC. The Company is committed to honoring data deletion requests in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

1. Data the Company Stores

When you connect a social media account to EstepSports, the Company stores information associated with that connection. The specific data depends on which platform you connect. The Company does not store your passwords for any connected platform.

Instagram (Meta Graph API)

Your Instagram username, display name, profile picture, biography, account type, and follower counts; your published content metadata (captions, timestamps, media URLs); performance metrics (views, reach, impressions, shares, saves, likes, comments); and the OAuth access token required to maintain your connection. Tokens are stored in an encrypted data store (Google Cloud Firestore) using AES-256 encryption, separate from other user data.

TikTok (Login Kit and Display API)

Your TikTok display name, avatar URL, and open_id; your published video metadata (titles, descriptions, cover images, share URLs, creation timestamps); and the OAuth access and refresh tokens required to maintain your connection. TikTok's Display API does not provide per-video engagement metrics, so the Company does not store TikTok engagement data. Tokens are stored using the same encrypted infrastructure described above.

Account and Usage Data

Your name, email address, and account credentials; pages visited, features accessed, session duration; browser type, operating system, and IP address as recorded by the Company's hosting infrastructure.

2. How to Request Deletion

Option A: Email the Company Directly

Send a request to mason@estepsports.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include the username(s) or email address associated with your EstepSports account, and specify whether you are requesting deletion of all data or data associated with a specific connected platform. The Company will confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete the deletion within thirty (30) days of receiving a verified request.

Option B: Disconnect via Instagram Settings

You may revoke the Company's access to your Instagram account directly through Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app and navigate to Settings → Account Center.
  2. Select "Your information and permissions," then "Apps and Websites."
  3. Locate "EstepSports" (or "Estep Sports API") and select "Remove."

When you disconnect through Instagram, the Company's access is immediately revoked. Stored data associated with that Instagram account, including authentication tokens, will be deleted from the Company's systems within thirty (30) days.

Option C: Disconnect via TikTok Settings

You may revoke the Company's access to your TikTok account directly through TikTok:

  1. Open the TikTok app and navigate to Settings and Privacy → Security → Manage app permissions.
  2. Locate "EstepSports" and select "Remove."

When you disconnect through TikTok, the Company's access is immediately revoked. Stored data associated with that TikTok account, including authentication tokens, will be deleted from the Company's systems within thirty (30) days.

3. What Happens After Deletion

Upon completion of a data deletion request, the Company will remove the following from its active systems: your profile information and account data; all content metadata and performance metrics associated with the deleted account(s); all stored authentication tokens for the relevant platform(s); and your presence on any public-facing leaderboards within the EstepSports platform.

Certain limited information may be retained beyond the 30-day deletion period where required by applicable law, or where necessary for the Company to resolve pending disputes, enforce its agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Any such retained data will be limited to the minimum necessary for those purposes.

Notice: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. If you reconnect a social media account to EstepSports in the future, the Company will only have access to data from the point of reconnection forward. Previously deleted historical data cannot be recovered.
